Are Ideal Boilers any good? Reviews from a Gas engineer

Updated: Aug 18, 2021

Choosing the right boiler for your property can be a daunting task. With so many makes and models its hard to know where to start.

Ideal Boilers have been in the heating industry and in your homes for over 100 years. Within the last century they have come on par with the likes of Worcester and Valliant. Back in 2013 the Logic and the Logic Plus received the Queens Award while the Vogue ranges received the Good Housekeeping Reader Recommended Status in 2013 and 2017.

The Logic Plus combination boilers come with a 7 year warranty, with a 10 year warranty on the heat exchanger. The lowest kw Logic Plus combination boiler, the C24, is a great boiler for flats and small houses with one bathroom. They deliver a domestic hot water flow rate of 9.9 l/min and is ideal to fit insides cupboards. If your looking for something a bit beefier in power the Ideal Vogue C40 throws out 16.4 l/min flow rate and is only slightly bigger in size.

Every model in the Vogue range comes complete with an 8 year warranty as standard, which can be increased to 10 years parts and labour warranty when installed with an Ideal System Filter. The same can be said about the Logic Plus which comes with a 5 year warranty as standard, which can be increased to 7.

Overall Ideal Logic is one of my favourable boilers, from an engineers perspective it is a pleasure to install. With positive feedback from my customers over the years just shows how far Ideal have come.
